Tears

by

Betsy Julian

Tears roll down my face as I try to forgive myself for all the bad things I have done in my life.

Tears roll down my face when I think of my parents.

Tears roll down my face as I wish my mother was still alive.

Tears roll down my face as I think about my kids.

Tears roll down my face as I see how I lived 25 years of my life in addiction.

Tears roll down my face as I feel hope, faith.

Tears roll down my face as I laugh today.

Tears roll down my face as I receive a Higher Power.

Tears roll down my face because I have changed, made better choices in my life.

Today tears no longer roll down my face in sorrow, pain, anger, fear or guilt.

Tears roll down my face out of joy, peace, laughter, love, confidence, courage, hope, and the trust that I have in my life today.

Tears roll down my face today as I learn about my meaning here on earth.
