A Space Inside My Mind

by

Lydia Kurnia

There is a space inside my mind

A nice warm place where I keep us

It doesn’t matter how I lost you

It doesn’t matter why you left

There is a space inside my mind

Where once you held me in your arms

As if the world no longer mattered

As if we could possibly be

There is a space inside my mind

Where time and seasons were reversed

I gave you all my darkest secrets

I gave you all, my heart and soul

There is a space inside my mind

Where our words made wallpapers

As though your life was in my hands

As though mine was sewn in yours

There is a space inside my mind

A nice cool place where you were mine

The worst part of missing you was when

You were near, I couldn’t have you

There is a space inside my mind

Where we existed, flesh and heart

I want to live in it forever

And more so now when you are gone
