Journeys Through Grief and Beyond

A Prayer For Newtown

The sun shone brightly one early morn,
Just eleven days before Jesus was born.
Little children arose, so happy were they
To go off to learn, to laugh and to play.
They loved their school, their teachers too
Twas their second home, and this they knew
Was a safe place, a peaceful space.
Now they are angels, each wearing a crown
In a special place called Heaventown.
Their halos spread light and help us to bind
Their message is clear, please be kind.
Thank you dear angels, we harken back
We are doing just that, our spirit won't lack.
And now to you, no need to pack
You are in a safe place, a peaceful space.
