Angels In Dandelion Seeds
by
Alison Pearce

She sees angels in dandelion seeds
She sees beauty in summer’s weeds
She sees right through to your soul
She knows the words to make you whole
She hides in shadows, she hides in the light
Her inner glow is so very bright
She hums a tune of grief and hope
She picks wildflowers from a mountain slope
She calls your name with a smile
And makes you forget for a little while
She sees blue sky when there’s nothing but grey
She sees the sun on a rainy day
She sees God riding on a moonbeam
She talks to Jesus in her dreams
She cries in the night for those that are lost
She laughs in the morning, dancing over the frost
She sees angels in dandelion seeds
She sees beauty in summer’s weeds
She sees right through to your soul
She knows the words to make you whole
BIO: Alison Pearce is an Australian poet and writer whose work has appeared in many print and ezine formats around the world.
MOTIVATION: This is a piece written about a free-spirited and positive thinking woman as seen through the eyes of an observer. As a writer, I wanted to bring to life the beauty and magic she sees in things we take for granted in today's world. Although she is a fictional character, I believe each one of us knows someone like her - or has a little piece of her inside of us.
